Transferred the paper battery box template to sheet aluminum and cut out the parts. Bent the parts and prime painted them. Finished by installing the hinges. Still need to drill pilot holes in the mounting flanges, which might have been easier to do before bending the parts.
Cleaned up my workbench in preparation to start assembly of the engine. My original case had some forward flange damage from shipping. Sonex sent a new case which arrived last Thursday. I need to start over on the case by smoothing the rough portions of the casting before final cleaning and painting.
